Former Chelsea defender Ashley Cole has revealed his desire to extend his stay with LA Galaxy for an additional year. The ex-England international has been with the California-based club since his release from Italian side AS Roma in the winter of 2016.
In a report covered by The Mirror, Cole revealed his ambition to prolong his professional career with Galaxy despite approaching his 37th birthday. The ex-England international saw Galaxy finish rock-bottom of the Western Conference during the previous campaign but he is hoping that he can play a role in reversing their fortunes.

Sam Allardyce has revealed that he would be interested in becoming the next head coach of the United States national side. The former England boss is out of work since his resignation from Crystal Palace last summer, and he has since held discussions with Everton over the vacant managerial post.
In a report covered by TalkSPORT, Allardyce admitted that he would consider succeeding Bruce Arena as United States’ new manager, although any potential deal will have to wait until the presidential election for the Soccer Federation is concluded in February, he said: “Yes, I would go I think, but I think there’s a president-elect in January [sic] which has stalled the process, so if I got the opportunity to speak to the U.S. then I would look forward to that.”

Bruce Arena has claimed that he is expecting a difficult match against Panama when the United States travel to the away ground in order to get a victory that would place them in the World Cup 2018.

Paul Arriola has revealed that he had no issues about choosing DC United as his next club once he heard the advice of US national team manager Bruce Arena.
The former Tijuana Xolos midfielder is one of the latest signings for DC United, as the club hope to make their way up the table in the MLS. The 22-year-old is at the stage of his career where his next move could make or break his future. After having been with the Mexican club is up until now,Paul Arriola made the high profile switch to DC United. He is valued at around € 3 million following his latest move. Bruce Arena said that the United States Men National Soccer Team perform reasonably well in the draw against Venezuela but that there is room for improvement.
He said that the game was only a friendly match and this could be seen in the intensity of the game.
However, he admitted that the players would have to do better on set pieces as they did not appear to be confident on these type of actions.
Indeed the USA team conceded when they fail to defend a corner properly, and the ball was headed into the area. The defenders failed to defend properly, and it fell for Velazquez who managed to open the scoreline for Venezuela.

Borussia Dortmund Christian Pulisic has expressed his admiration for the Premier League, but insisted that he is content to ply his trade in the German Bundesliga.
The USA international has made a huge leap over the past year or so, and he is now an integral part on the BvB setup.
Pulisic earned 43 outings for the Dortmund giants across all competitions last season while netting five goals in the process. He also helped the German outfit clinch their first silverware in nearly five seasons after they beat Eintracht Frankfurt by a 2-1 scoreline in the DFB-Pokal Cup final.
Speaking to NBC, Pulisic admitted that the Premier League had a huge influence on his style of play as it helped to nurture his interest in the beautiful game, he said: “It was the biggest league I followed as a kid and watched.
